Illuminate with care
Welcome to the Candle Haven candle care guide! Here you'll find all the essential tips and tricks to ensure your soy candles burn safely, cleanly, and last longer. Let's dive into the art of candle care to enhance your aromatic experience.

The golden rule of candle burning
The one thing Candle Haven wishes every customer knew about burning soy candles safely and getting the most enjoyment from them:
Before burning: Trim the wick to 1/4 inch (5mm) before each burn. This prevents smoking and ensures a cleaner burn.
First burn: Always allow the first burn to form a full wax pool to the edges. This prevents tunneling, as candles have a 'memory'.
Safe burning practices: Burn on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts. Limit burns to 3-4 hours to avoid overheating. Extinguish with a snuffer (not by blowing).
Keep it clean:Keep the wax pool free of debris for a clean, safe, and long-lasting experience.
Don't move: Never move a lit candle; the candle container gets hot. Extinguish, let cool, then move if needed.
More cleaning: Before relighting, use tweezers to remove wick trimmings or debris from the wax pool.
Storage: Keep the lid on to lock in fragrance and prevent dust. Store in a cool, dark, dry place away from direct sunlight to minimise frosting and preserve scent.
